Will you apply for a building permit?
Waterman Brothers Construction will never refuse to apply for a building permit. Different municipalities have different requirements as to what jobs require a building permit. Some require a permit for almost all jobs while others only require permits for jobs that include changes to the structure or plumbing. Jobs done without a permit are almost always cheaper and are completed sooner, since we don't need to cover the costs of applying for the permit and meeting the building inspector for required inspections and there are fewer delays waiting for inspections. We will follow all applicable building codes either with or without a building permit. We can advise you specifically if your job will need a permit once we know the scope of what you would like to do.

Waterman Brothers Construction prefers to provide all the materials for your project. We warranty what we sell and it is the only way for us to be assured of high quality materials. If there is a problem with customer provided materials we will charge you our current hourly labor rate to correct the situation.

Isn't Waterman Brothers really expensive?
While WBCI is not a cheap contractor, we are also far from the most expensive. There are many things that go into determining the best value; price, quality, speed and risk. Many builders skimp on the quality of materials or leave necessary elements out of their estimates to get the job with the lowest bid. They then add expensive change orders during construction, causing the end job cost to equal or exceed that of reputable contractors realistic bids. As you shop for the best value for your remodeling project, make sure you do a fair comparison and pick a company with a proven record of high quality work and customer satisfaction.
