The Bid Appointment
Call our office at 630-462-1260 or email us.
We prefer to set up a meeting at your home. This appointment usually lasts an hour, depending on the scope of the project
How To Prepare For Your Appointment
If you are planning an addition, it is helpful to have a copy of your plat of survey.
Any sketches or pictures showing what you'd like will help us understand your vision for your project.
The Bid
We will either mail the bid to you, or set up another appointment to go over the proposal with you.
Our bid will show a line by line item of fixed costs and allowances. The allowances are items that will change according to your choice of material.
Depending on the scope of the project, we may also include a rough floor plan design along with the bid.
We can also generate Design Drawings showing the project in more detail to help you visualize the project. There is a fee for these drawings
The Next Step
If you decide to go ahead with your project, we ask that you sign the proposal, and send it back to our office along with the deposit.
If required we will then begin the building permit process, which usually takes about two months (includes obtaining a new survey if required by the city or village, generating drawings, and the city permit review process)
